POINTS OF INTEREST
- The PUCT staff provided an update to the Retail Market Subcommittee (RMS) on the Advanced Metering Implementation Team (AMIT), noting that it is now closed and the Advanced Metering Working Group (AMWG) will replace it.
- The Smart Meter Texas (SMT) staff said that the portal may be renamed, and that all final decisions related to it rest with the PUCT. Also, based on the comments received, some design features of the SMT may be revised.
- The Home Area Network (HAN) group is in the process of compiling a comprehensive catalog of all relevant documentation that has been produced up to now.
- Since the TDUs filed extensive comments, RMS tabled Retail Market Guide Revision Request RMGRR115 (Manual Work-Around Processes to Be Utilized during Extended Retail Outages), and referred it to the Lessons Learned Task Force for further review.
- The RMS members agreed to ask the Communications and Settlement Working Group (CSWG) to table Commercial Operations Market Guide Revision Request COPMGRR034 (Updates to the Market Notice Communication Process), until after RMS approves RMGRR115.
- RMGRR111 (Process Updates for the Request of Historical Usage Data via SMT Web Portal) remains tabled; it may be re-referred to AMWG.
- ERCOT staff reported that in February, IT systems for Market Operations, Market Data Transparency, Retail Market, and Grid Operations met all of the Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets.
- The Sharyland Transition Task Force (STTF) is still working on the Default Retail Electric Provider (REP) and Competitive Retailer (CR) transition timelines and procedures.
- A CNP representative reported that the utilities have installed close to 6.4 million smart meters.
- ERCOT staff presented an update on the NAESB upgrade (v2.2), which is not expected to be fully implemented until early 2015.
- The MarkeTrak Task Force (MTTF) is still accepting comments for the MT User Guide.
- ERCOT staff reported that the numbers for Inadvertent Gains (IAG) show some improvement.
- CenterPoint is planning a REP workshop on 5/1/13, in Houston.
- ERCOT staff provided information about the revised requirements for Electricity Fact Labels (EFLs), pursuant to P.U.C. Subst. R. 25.475 and 25.476. One change entails moving all related information to ERCOT’s website.
